About / Rami Awad

Creative judgment.
Built on craft.

I combine creative leadership with hands-on experience in motion, 3D, VFX and generative AI.

My work spans campaign concepts, brand storytelling, film, and digital and social content for Unilever brands, Saudi public-sector communications, and agency collaborations.

As Creative Manager in NHC’s Digital Department, I develop concepts and visual narratives, produce AI-generated video and animation, and help build the team’s digital production capabilities.

My experience in film and television VFX informs how I lead: understanding the decisions behind a finished image helps me protect an idea through execution.

Selected work / BRU / Diwali

A familiar logo.
A new light.

Turning BRU’s own identity into a symbol of Diwali. A brand-led idea designed to register in seconds—and return season after season.

01 / The challenge

A few seconds.
One clear idea.

In Times Square, the creative needed to communicate quickly. BRU had to feel unmistakably part of Diwali while remaining unmistakably BRU.

The opportunity was to connect the celebration to something the brand already owned: its logo.

02 / The concept

The celebration
was in the logo.

I developed the idea of making the diya part of BRU’s identity—using the logo’s curved form as the lamp.

Brand recognition and the festive symbol become one visual. The flame supplies the Diwali connection; BRU’s familiar shape and colours keep the idea rooted in the brand.

03 / My role

Originate the idea.
Direct the execution.

I originated the logo-to-diya concept and instructed the 3D designers and animators on how to bring it to life. My direction centred on delivering the message within the brief viewing window of a Times Square display.

The 3D design and animation were executed by collaborating artists under my direction.

04 / Creative decisions

Make the brand
carry the message.

01 — Start with recognition

Build the festive idea from the existing logo so the celebration stays connected to BRU.

02 — Keep the read immediate

Use a clear visual relationship between the logo and the diya, rather than a story that needs a long viewing time.

03 — Give motion a purpose

Direct the 3D and animation execution around communicating the idea quickly and clearly.

05 / Selected executions

One idea.
Different canvases.

Selected campaign assets show different messages, colour treatments, and screen proportions. Play each execution to see the work in its original composition.

07 / Longevity

A seasonal idea.
A lasting asset.

First developed in 2022, the concept was subsequently reused by the client across four consecutive Diwali seasons, with updates to messaging and colours.

The enduring element was the idea itself: a celebration expressed through the brand’s own identity.

The creative principle

Make Diwali part of the brand itself—and make that connection land in seconds.
